About Afterword

Be present, even after.

We build the bridge between a physical memorial and a living record of a life.

Why we exist

A funeral lasts an afternoon. A life deserves longer.

Families spend weeks gathering photographs, letters, recordings and stories for a service — and then those things go back into boxes. Grandchildren grow up knowing a name and two dates.

Afterword keeps everything gathered for that day reachable forever. A small engraved QR code on a plaque, a program, or a pendant opens a full memorial page: their portrait, their gallery, the milestones that shaped them, tributes from people who loved them, and the messages they chose to leave behind.

It's the same act of remembering families have always performed. We simply made sure it doesn't end when the flowers do.

What we hold to

Four commitments.

Dignity first

No advertising, no engagement tricks, no noise. A memorial page should feel like a well-made room — quiet, considered, and entirely about the person in it.

Permanence

Links break, phones change, platforms close. We design memorials, addresses and QR records to survive all of it, so families never have to rebuild.

Family control

The family owns the memorial. They decide what is published, which tributes appear, and who can contribute.

Partnership, not replacement

Funeral homes have cared for families for generations. Afterword gives them something new to offer, not something to compete with.
